The establishment of Multimedia University (MMU) dates back to 1996, when it was founded as a private university. Its primary objective is to bring together talented individuals for the purpose of inquiry, inspiration, and innovation. Currently, MMU operates two campuses, located in Cyberjaya and Melaka. MMU offers a wide range of programs at various levels, including Foundation, Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate. These programs cover diverse fields such as Computing, Business, and Engineering. Additionally, MMU provides specialized courses in Software Engineering, Information Systems, and Game Development. In terms of ranking and reputation, MMU has received a 5-Star rating in the most recent SETARA rating. It has also been recognized as a Premier Digital Tech University by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) since 2019. Furthermore, MMU is ranked among the top 1,200 universities worldwide according to the QS World University Rankings 2024.
