About Penang International Dental College (PIDC)

Penang International Dental College (PIDC) is a private college that was established in 2006. With more than 15 years of experience as one of the pioneering private dental colleges in Malaysia, PIDC offers a unique educational experience with a curriculum that is set as a standard by experienced educators and practitioners. Located in Butterworth, Penang, PIDC offers the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) program, which is accredited by MQA and recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council. The program allows students to complete their first two years of clinical studies at Saujana Putra Campus, MAHSA University, and the final three years of clinical training at PIDC Campus in Penang. Additionally, the college offers a Foundation in Science program that is specifically designed to prepare students for the DDS program. As a fully-equipped dental college, PIDC boasts the largest on-site dental clinic among private dental schools. The clinic receives a steady flow of patients, providing students with ample clinical exposure. With its high academic and clinical training standards, PIDC has successfully produced 27 batches of dentistry students, resulting in over 700 dental graduates. Many of these graduates have secured positions with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defence, as well as in private clinical practice. Furthermore, PIDC dental graduates have also pursued postgraduate training in the UK, Australia, and Hong Kong, making a name for themselves internationally. In terms of ranking and reputation, PIDC has been awarded a 4-star rating in the latest MyQUEST rating.
